| Headline: | TWAS Grants to research units in developing countries |
| Description: | The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) now institutes a new project in support of Science and Technology Development in 77 Scientifically-Lagging Developing Countries (SLDCs). The project has been established to recognize, support and promote the best research units in the SLDCs and to facilitate their engagement in the development process. The project will offer grants of up to US$30,000 per year for a period of three years to a selected number of competent research units located within university departments or other scientific institutions in the SLDCs. Application deadlines per year are 1 March and 1 September. For more information and the application package, please contact M.T.
